Some of it ok but how can Arsenal fan say Spurs fans are good fans at WHL? All they sing is that boring slow version of Saints song.

I would imagine it's pretty different in the North London derby.

If he went to UP in the same capacity 20 years ago there’s every chance he would’ve switched allegiance.

Maybe so, I do agree with him about old fashioned grounds though, but to me it's still diluted to what it used to be like. I miss the smell of cigar smoke and terraces.

Interesting but I'd never go to a game of two teams I didn't support and belt out one of the teams songs. For that reason I reserve the right to call him a cunt.

good article and spot on about raised voices being met with disdain. the last game I went to at west ham, I had similar treatment from cunts around me in the west upper. these were the seats reserved for fans who went in the cottee lounge. id always stood on the north, south, chicken run or sat in the bobby lower, so to be met with such attitudes just for showing some passion towards the game made me realise what you now had going to games. sad

As long as everyone stands in the lower teirs at the OS we'll be fine.

Remind me again why UP couldn't be expanded and Upgraded...and retaining the Atmosphere...

The OS move is all about the money...cheap stadium...increase the value of The Brand...

Much as they will try...The OS will be a soulless...low intensity ground where most will have to watch the Big Screens,...or their mobiles to see what is happening on the pitch...

Is this the article where another fan admitted singing another clubs song?

Not sure why it's a great read, he came on a lively night , we'll be just as lively at the new place and just as quiet as we can be at other times, main thing is croe will be there giving it large and that's all we care about.

I know what you mean Tom. I remember the smokey smells on the North Bank, before it was replaced by the Trevor Brooking stand.

I don't think they were regular cigars though.

It's up to the fans to create a decent atmosphere at the OS...

The acoustics, with the large ICONIC roof, are there - trust me... Even New Zealand Vs Namibia (fucking Namibia) in the RWC generated a fine atmosphere, on occasions...

I'm gonna get pissed-up every Home game and try and do my bit to get behind the team so I hope we all do the same...

I had a Chelsea supporter next to me when we played Liverpool at home in the league where we won 2-0. He cheered our goals on the basis that he considers Liverpool to be a big Chelsea rival.

Thankfully he never made patronising comments like good to be amongst the working class etc. He just shut up enjoyed the game and won some money on Carroll scoring.
